Today starts the third annual Audiobook Week, as hosted by the well-regarded Chicago literary book blog Devourer of Books.
DoB, whose real name is Jen Karsbaek, also works as a book publicist and estimates that she has listened to some 50 books since last year’s iteration of the contest. She frequently reviews new audiobooks on her blog and was a judge for the recent Audie Awards.
We are calling attention to her celebration of audiobooks because, well, we love them ourselves. Now that CDs are pretty much obsolete, listening to audiobooks requires little more than an Audible account and a smartphone.
